What Our Audiences Say

The Carpenters Tribute, Live- Music of The Carpenters, with Michelle Whited, is a professional, affectionate, and respectful celebration of the songs of the ever-popular musical group, THE CARPENTERS. With fine musicians and intricate arrangements, the show delivers the distinctive sounds that are associated with the group and the era, and audiences consistently respond with appreciation and enthusiasm! We have presented this show at numerous venues in Northen California including The Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton and El Campanil Theatre in Antioch, each resulting in equally successful return engagements."

The great reviews of your show continue! We have been asked when The Carpenters Tribute will be back at the State Theatre [in Oroville,CA]. I have been involved with theatre events for a number of years. Unlike any other in recent memory, The Carpenters Tribute attracted an audience from throughout Butte and Glenn counties. In addition, a number of local residents who have not attended a local theatre program in years turned out for the evening. You and your musicians turned in a top notch, first-rate performance. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It was a terrific fundraiser for us.

My wife and I attended the concert in Oroville, CA February 7, 2014 at the State Theatre. We were amazed how much Michelle sounded exactly like Karen Carpenter, and your band was a great backup. We think your show should go national and later you should start your own recordings. There are 78 million baby boomers who would love to hear you perform. Blessings! Ric & Colene Newton

I was there last year in Paradise, and I was there last evening in Oroville, Feb 7, 2014. There’s such a mix of presence and past is seeing and listening to you as you pour out your musical hearts to us in the audience who loved the Carpenters and now love your loving re-creation of that Carpenter’s sound and legacy. Don and Michelle, thanks so much for taking a few moments after the concert in Oroville to come up stage and share some thoughts and thanks about this wonder we all share in the magic of music - especially the Carpenter’s music. Please share with your group of fine musicians how much we (the audience and your admiring minions) appreciate their unique sound and contributions in making this encounter quite wonderful. Truly, I think I speak for all in attendance last evening that we felt The Carpenters Tribute. Thanks for keeping the music alive and well.

WOW!! You guys were great and did an awesome Tribute to Karen Carpenter! Would love to hear you over and over. My 95 year old mom enjoyed you, too! I hope you’ll come back to Sun City, Roseville, again. What is your website? Thanks for coming and loved you guys - all of you.

Just returned from seeing your group perform in Lincoln, CA at Sun City. THANK YOU so much for taking me on a journey, back in time to my high school days. I’ve always loved the Carpenter’s unique sound and secretly wanted to BE Karen Carpenter during my school choir days. The concert was WONDERFUL! There were truly moments when I got lost in the music and could swear that I was listening to Karen herself. The entire group was filled with highly talented musicians. You have just gained a new and loyal fan! Thanks again for a trip down memory lane.

Just want to say how much I enjoyed your awesome performance at the Paradise Performing Arts Center on February 24th. Thank you SO MUCH for keeping the Carpenters music alive. You did an incredible job performing their songs. I saw them live in the very early 70s in San Diego. I especially enjoyed "This Masquerade", my personal favorite recording from them. Nobody does Leon Russel songs better. Do you know "When He Smiles"? A rather obscure song on the "As Time Goes By" cd. Another fav of mone. I wish you all much success. Thanks again!
